i can't say that i like tessla, but i don't hate them either. they are pretty nice cars which are stupidly quick in a straight line. what i can say is that i really don't like the tessla styling, it really doesn't look good to my eyes. another thing that i really dislike about tessla is what they think about people fixing their own cars. they really dislike when people fix their own cars. it can for example be changing out a damaged door, but if you do it yourself aren't you allowed to charge at the supoercharging stations. so the big thing i don't like about tessla is how they handle the people who enjoy fixing their cars and want everybody to drive their cars to a tessla dealer so they can fix the car at stupidly high prices. but i really think the porsche looks good and i would rather go for an entry line porsche over the top of the line tessla

Taycan is an overpriced POS compared to the Model S. Transmission in an electric car, what are the Germans smoking.

Formula E cars have several gears. The Rimac Concept One has a two-gear-transmission on the rear axis (so like the Porsche). I wonder if the Tesla Roadster will really only have a fixed transmission. Would be tough to reach 0-60 in 1.9 sec on the one hand but also 250 mph on the other hand with a fixed transmission. Especially for acceleration e.g from 100 mph to 200 mph a second gear could help. Or to increase efficiency. An electric car doesn't need several gears, but that doesn't mean, that it cannot make sense.

Killer video thanks for the fresh data! I heard you too mention the main scope I hold on tight to and that's the "road vs track" category! Tour numbers are straigh and I know the difference between 2.4 and 2.8 is sick, but where and why? At Starbucks? Because I know for a fact there's not one of those located on Nurburgring and I think that really plays into how we're all hyping up these cars! I'm gonna guess that probably 95% of Tesla's are gonna be street driven not track. So yes I think its sick that these top models are reaching to compete with Tesla, but tesla is THE standard and I think that to anyone who walks the real walk of life can't distinguish the difference between Porsche's premium ankle-bighters' 2.6 0-60 and Tesla's top "economy" low-lows' 3.2 sec at about 1/4 the price! So please mind you I love your coverage of the latest and greatest, can always rely on you... but I wish the true hype was really focused on what matters to us common folk... the fact that our beloved world saving grocery getter will hold it's own right up against Porsche's wanna-be Pinacle pony!

The part you are missing is racing heritage. What racing heritage does Tesla have in comparison to not just Porsche but to all of the VW luxury stable. Le Mans, Formula 1, Rallying and more are all measures in the car world of a cars prestige. and now teams in the FIA formula e championship include Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar and the championship leader Audi. The competition should lead to greater innovations that will be used in road cars. I see it getting harder for Tesla.

A very good talk-about, but unfortunately here wasn’t pronounced one very important and essential detail: namely the BRAKES. Porsche claims that the brakes almost don’t wear out! - And it’s incredible! With a recuperation capacity of up to 265 kW, around 90 percent of all braking operations are to be covered. The driver doesn’t notice this, as usual he doses the braking force via the brake pedal. The electric motors work as generators when decelerating, recovering energy and therefore slowing down the car. This also reduces brake wear to a minimum. Especially with the turbo S standard carbon ceramic brakes results in an almost insane life of an estimated 800.000 !!! kilometers. Thank you for your attention )))

Porsche's rear light bar has been around since the early 911's (930,964) so they're definitely paying homage to their history. I don't think it resembles the Lincoln at all

    1. Porsche can easily make a a full electric car that blows Teslas 0-60. Believe Porsche is good with that but the purpose is to have repeatable performance figures. 2. Haven’t driven in one but the Taycan will have way better driving experience than the Tesla hands down. ( this itself is a more than enough reason for people to go for the Porsche. 3. ( my preference ) but the Porsche looks way better inside and out. not a fan of the giant ipad slapped on the dashboard 🤢 4. German Ride quality and german built quality. 5. The Porsche might look like a Lincoln but the Tesla looks a lot like Kia from certain angles. In Conclusion, if you want a great everyday electric car the Tesla is a good choice. But if you need something with brand, history, performance, looks and prestige go for the Porsche. Not just a great driving experience but a symbol status and a great deco for your mansion. People can build a Supra and a gtr that’ll have way better figures at a fraction of the price of Ferraris and Porsches but It’s never the same as driving the proper exotic cars. No harm switching Marquess 😉 tbh you’d look great in that Porsche compared to the Tesla.Thank me later ✌🏻

Everyone just assumes that Porsche will be a better track car. But events unfolding in Nurburgring now with the Plaid Model S show that Tesla can be just as good, if not better on the track. As a bonus with the Model S, you can also take the whole family (& the dog - who will love dog mode) camping or to the cottage. (Sorry, Taycan does not have the cargo capacity nor charging network to do this)

So the fastest any car can accelerate on earth from 0 to 60 mph is 2.8 seconds (the speed of gravity). If it's faster it's utilizing downforce or thrusters. That Tycan could go just as fast (if not faster) as that Tesla with some work on aerodynamics.

Model S beat Porsche Taycan (185k) in Nurburging, by an incredible 20 seconds! Likely Model 3 performance at only 55k will beat out the 150k Porsche as well. Tesla not only has the best EVs by far but also the fastest at a far cheaper price. Most range and most advance autonomous features too.
